Cancer Progress Report 13

Kim Alexander shares her story in the American Association of Cancer Research (AACR) Cancer Progress Report 2013. She has been living with inflammatory breast cancer since 2006 and is currently NED, no evidence of disease.  She was part of a new treatment plan that is now saving lives.  This new drug on the market was approved in January 2013.  T-DM1 now called Kadcyla (trastuzumab emtansine).  We are very grateful to the AACR for selecting Kim for this valuable testimony regarding the need for cancer research funding.  Please share her story as it needs to be told.  We can’t stress enough the importance of research.

Please this fall, before you pick up a pink item or donate to a pink charity, ask what percentage of the funds go to research.
